2026 RMS-AAPG Annual Meeting
Students & Young Professionals
Student and Young Professional Events!
The 2026 RMS AAPG Conference Is Deepening its Commitment to Students and Early Career Professionals.
The 2026 RMS AAPG conference offers a specific programming stream designed to support the next generation of geoscientists, starting with a Student & Young Professional Meet-and-Greet on the opening night.
The Rocky Mountain Rendezvous (RMR) Recruiting and Networking Event on the last day of the conference connects students and early-career professionals with participating employers. The event emphasizes first contact and relationship-building, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about companies, career paths, internships, and potential employment opportunities.
A companion Student & Young Professional Mentoring Roundtables event is designed to connect Student & Young Professionals with professionals from different sectors through small-group roundtable discussions.
Specifically for undergraduate and first year graduate students we offer a scientific writing workshop that is designed to help students get started to turn their research ideas into a manuscript.
Students can further enhance their 2026 RMS AAPG experience by volunteering at the conference. Contribute a minimum of 4 hours of your time and receive a $50 reimbursement of your conference fees—a great way to get involved, build connections, and save money.
